On Thursday night, the NFL made its return as the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs played host to reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, were a big headline throughout the 2023 season.
To start 2024, the couple is making headlines again, with Swift appearing at Arrowhead Stadium for Kansas City’s debut. As news spread of Swift’s arrival at the game, the Chiefs took to X to send a message to the pop/country singer, welcoming her back as the football season gets underway. “Call it what you want, but football season is here,” the Chiefs wrote. “Welcome back, Taylor Swift!”

Kelce and Swift began dating in September 2023, the beginning of the last NFL season. Her first Arrowhead appearance came on September 24 in the Chiefs’ week 3 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Since then, Kelce and Swift have become the most popular couple in the NFL.
On the way to his third Super Bowl win last season, Kelce saw his numbers take a small dip compared to 2022. In 15 games, the former Cincinnati Bearcats star recorded 93 catches for 984 yards and five touchdowns.
Many expect another strong season from Kelce and the Chiefs in 2024. They are considered favorites to win another Super Bowl. If they do, they will become the first team in NFL history to three-peat.
