Dwayne Wade reveals How he’s Helping Angel Reese in Her “Fight” With Caitlin Clark.

Dwayne Wade asserts that Angel Reese, who is looking to NBA advice to assist her navigate her rookie season as a professional basketball player, only wants to be a good teammate to her Chicago Sky teammates. Wade states that the 22-year-old’s primary objective is to continue integrating with her teammates while she continues her graft in Illinois.

The 22-year-old graduated with the LSU Tigers as an NCAA champion. “She’s owning it. She is owning who she is,” Wade told CBS. “She wants to be great, and she wants to be a great teammate.” In addition to winning three NBA titles with the Miami Heat and winning MVP of the Finals in 2006, Wade was a shooting guard who played 16 seasons and finished with 23,165 points, 4933 rebounds, and 5701 assists. He also made 13 appearances in the All-Star game.

He is therefore in a good position to advise the Bayou Barbie on how to improve as a player and a professional, and he disclosed that’s precisely what he does in an effort to give the Sky’s guard confidence. “And so, our conversations,” Wade added. “When we do talk, it’s about that and giving her that confidence to continue to be that.”

The emergence of some incredible young talent, like Reese, Cameron Brink, Kamilla Kardoso, and Caitlin Clark—the latter of whom has already forged a rivalry with the Sky’s best player—has given the WNBA a new lease on life. As people’s interest in women’s basketball grows, their performances in college and throughout their first professional seasons have sold out arenas across the country and secured them big-time partnerships with businesses like Nike. Wade is praising them for the pair.

“The women showed up when the lights were the brightest,” Wade added of Clark and Reese’s rivalry. “And that started back last year when Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark had that national championship moment”. Wade makes reference to the moment Reese was seen bragging to Clark about the LSU Tigers’ certain victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes at the 2023 NCAA Women’s Division I championship game.
