ESPN analysts are going viral for their debate over whether Travis Kelce already bought Taylor Swift an engagement ring.
While ESPN pundits typically confine their forecasts to on-field happenings, they appear to be deviating from this rule to discuss if Travis Kelce has already bought Taylor Swift an engagement ring while the 2024–2025 NFL season hasn’t even begun.
On Tuesday’s NFL Live, host Laura Rutledge teased that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s recent “big purchase” “wasn’t an engagement ring,” revealing that the 34-year-old had recently purchased a race-winning horse with what seemed to be a nod to the global pop superstar.

Fellow sports reporter Adam Schefter interjected, “asking the important questions.”
“Laura, how do you know that he didn’t, how do you know that Travis Kelce didn’t buy an engagement ring?”
“I don’t know,” she replied. “Do you know? Are you going to break some big news here?”
Smirking, Schefter reminded Rutledge of what she suggested: “I’m just saying that you said that he didn’t buy an engagement ring and I’m just wondering how you have that information.”
Analyst and former NFL star Booger McFarland joked that the “awkward silence” and unanswered question spoke “volumes.”
“Schefty, do you know something, Schefty?” McFarland added. “America wants to know.”
“All I did was ask a question about how Laura knew he hadn’t bought an engagement ring,” Schefter, 57, clarified. “That’s all I was doing.”
There are a ton of rumors about the romance between the all-star team, but the most persistent one seems to be the three-time Super Bowl champion’s intention to use this relationship as his “end game”.
Even though Kelce and the other woman have only been dating for a little over a year, there have been rumors since December 2023 that Kelce is prepared to take a big step in their relationship. Even yet, he made light of the fact that, just a few months later, Super Bowl LVIII was the only ring he was “focused on” obtaining.
