During a few performances of her Eras Tour, Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim supported Swift and made appearances in her “Bejeweled” video.
Este Haim is praising Taylor Swift without reservation!
In a recent interview with FASHION, the artist, 38, talked about her tight friendship with the 34-year-old “Fortnight” singer, praising her for her creative “genius” and stressing the value of female friendships.
“[Taylor’s] the best and she deserves every accolade that she’s ever had,” Este said of Swift in a video reshared on X (formerly Twitter). “She’s a true genius, and she’s also, like, the best friend and the best hang.”
“We had an amazing time at the US Open … yeah I would do that like a jillion times over again. That was so much fun,” she added.
Swift has been friends with the Haim sisters, Este, Danielle, 35, and Alana, 32, for a number of years. Throughout Swift’s Eras Tour, the three worked with her on songs.
The sisters called it “one of the most exhilarating things we’ve ever had the opportunity to experience.” The group opened for her on a few dates of the Eras Tour, and they joined her onstage to sing their “No Body, No Crime” collaboration.
“It really felt like a dream,” Este told PEOPLE of getting to perform with Swift. “Not only was she so incredibly welcoming onstage, but her fans embraced us and sang every word.”
The Haim sisters have also provided off-stage support for the 14-time Grammy winner, having shown up to the first of her two Eras Tour performances at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. They also worked with Swift on a remix of their song “Gasoline” in February 2021, and they appeared in the star-studded “Bejeweled” music video in October 2022.
Swift’s hard ethic while on tour has also been commended by the “Summer Girl” band. Danielle talked on witnessing Swift’s commitment to her craft firsthand and remarked, “Seeing how hard she works is insane.”
“She never complains,” she continued. “She’s the most incredible performer, and so inspiring as a friend.”
“She loves what she does,” Este added, noting that she would often spend time with them after her concerts too. “We’d play a show and she would just want to hang out after.”
The band told PEOPLE in December 2023 that despite her hectic work schedule, she still makes sure to prioritize her loved ones.
“She has always put her friends before herself in every situation,” Alana said. “She’s the kind of friend that checks up on us for weeks after a tough breakup and is a shoulder to lean on.”
