Jake Paul roasted after disguising himself as Travis Kelce at Fanatics Fest

Jake Paul dressed up as Travis Kelce during Fanatics Fest in NYC. Unconvinced and bothered, netizens roasted his disguise online.

Jake Paul, a former YouTuber who is now a boxer, has been enjoying the numerous publicity opportunities leading up to his most difficult battle to date as he gets ready for his fight against Mike Tyson on November 15.

Paul was in New York City for Fanatics Fest, a top sports convention where sportsmen and celebrities come to revel in all things sports, over the weekend of August 16–18. Fanatics Fest includes everything from rare rarities to limited-edition merchandise.

Rather than dressed like himself, Paul chose to disguise himself as Travis Kelce and draw large audiences.

The professional boxer was spotted donning a Kansas City Chiefs uniform with Kelce’s number and last name on the recognizable red jersey as he made his way outside to greet some fans.

Fans, however, weren’t delighted with his costume after betr—the well-known sports media and gaming company that Paul founded—posted a viral TikTok.

“If I was Travis Kelce I would be pissed,” quipped a netizen.

“I’m tired of this tool. I hope Tyson breaks his neck and chews on his ear when they finally fight,” said another.

“Little boy disguised as a grown man isn’t fooling a single person,” added a third.

Others asserted that Paul’s characteristics stood out and that it should have been obvious that it wasn’t Kelce at the conference.

“People should know it’s not Travis with tattoos,” one pointed out.

“Big fail,” said another.

Paul faced up against his future rival at a press conference held at the Javits Center in Hell’s Kitchen while he was at Fanatics Fest. Tension building, Tyson shoved Paul. The YouTuber laughed it off, and he burst out laughing.

Paul even suggested a significant modification to the fight’s rules for November. Paul proposed that he and Tyson fight over ten rounds of three minutes rather than eight rounds of two minutes when the rivals were arguing.
