In Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother Jason Kelce were speaking when the former Philadelphia Eagles center started reading an advertisement for the awards ceremony.
“Perhaps Taylor can take a few with him!” 34-year-old Travis spoke forward. She has roughly ten nominations for those categories this evening. I hope she can take some Moonmen with her. “Those are some of the more impressive awards,” he continued. In fact, Swift, 34, is up for 12 nominations, including artist of the year.
The 36-year-old Jason praised the Moon Person trophy and said, “Very cool,” after agreeing with his brother, before clapping and proclaiming, “Let’s go, Tay! Come on, Tay!”. “Remain at the top! Let’s get started! But I’m wishing everyone the best,” Travis continued. “Unless Tay is your opponent. Then I hope you lo-,” Jason jokingly said, pausing before he could say “lose.”
Swift, who has previously won 23 VMAs, has a chance to break Beyoncé’s record of 27 victories on Wednesday. The singer of “Cruel Summer” has always loved the VMAs, but it’s uncertain if she’ll be at this year’s presentation at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.
