Jason Kelce has a new gig for the upcoming NFL season after retiring following the 2023 season. He’ll be with ESPN to assist with their NFL coverage and recently shared that his biggest fear is not being prepared.
“I guess I’m fearful that I’m not going to be prepared. Because I feel like there’s a lot more autonomy,” Kelce said, (first transcribed by Awful Announcing). “Once you’re removed from it, you’ve got to go out of your way to really watch things and really iron in on what’s happening to do a reputable job.”
Kelce will have to do his homework for each broadcast and considering how well-versed he is in the league, that shouldn’t be a problem.
He’ll also get to tell some fun stories during his playing days to the panel and to the audience at home. He played with the Eagles for 13 years and helped them win Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots in 2018.
Kelce will be with the Monday Night Football crew throughout the season and will also get to keep hosting his podcast “New Heights” with brother Travis Kelce, who still plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.
