Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie Kelce, opened up about the Chiefs TE Travis Kelce’s first purchase from the first paycheck he received from the franchise.
Although the three-time Super Bowl title winner is known for his capabilities on the field, his spending might be questionable off the field.
As Kylie reveals the item on which Travis spent his first Chiefs paycheck, it was only the beginning of luxurious items that Taylor Swift’s boyfriend owns. Appearing on the WIP Midday Show, Kylie stated, “Early on when we were dating, Travis came into town.
I think with the Marty McFly shoes in Philly and I didn’t have a chance to meet Travis at that time.
But Jason told me after the fact how much he gave Travis, how much of a hard time he gave Travis after Travis divulged how much he had spent on the shoes.”
Well, for a long time, many of us didn’t know the exact price that Travis had spent on those Marty McFly pairs until he opened up a few years back. Sharing his thoughts on the purchase in the New Heights Podcast back in 2021, Kelce stated, “I’d always been a big Nike guy and watching Back To The Future so many frickin’ times.
And seeing what the Nikes would like in the future and the fact they were anti-gravity and self-tying.”
As revealed by Kelce later on, it was found that the pair of shoes were listed at $38,000 on StockX, thereby almost making him go bankrupt. Adding to his experience, the TE expressed, “I was walking into this empty apartment with Marty McFly on and a Rolex. I felt like I was the coolest guy in the world.”
However, his brother Jason wasn’t impressed with him spending that amount, to which he replied, “What the f—, Travis.”
Well, the Chiefs TE did deserve some flack for the decision he made after receiving his first of the many paychecks from the Kansas City Chiefs. However, it is not the only luxurious item that Travis Kelce owns, as the All-Pro is notorious for spending huge amounts on things he is passionate about.
