Earlier this summer, Patrick Mahomes shared some details of his double date with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
In July, Taylor and Travis went on a shared dinner date with the Chiefs quarterback and his wife, Brittany Mahomes. Now, Patrick, 28, is giving us a glimpse into what it’s truly like to hang out with the famous couple.
“We were just having fun and enjoying a dinner just like anyone else would,” the football phenom told The Athletic in an interview published Tuesday, Aug. 20. “That’s what makes it so great. We don’t make it more than what it is; it’s just friendship, fellowship and enjoying everyone’s success.”
Patrick claims that despite the enormous amount of celebrity that comes with dating the “Anti-Hero” singer, his colleague and close friend Travis, 34, has remained largely unchanged. Travis has helped Patrick win three Super Bowl championships.
“It’s a huge platform and everyone in the world can see it, deservedly so because of how great Taylor is, but it’s still Travis,” Patrick told the sports outlet. “I think that’s what makes it so cool, even though it’s such a big thing for the world.”
Throughout the brief “Tayvis” romance, Patrick and Travis’ friendship has stayed constant, but Taylor has been adding new friends to her list. Brittany, 28, and a few other Chiefs WAGs are now on it.
The 14-time Grammy winner also had some support from her new best friend abroad when Brittany and Patrick traveled to Amsterdam to see a show of the Eras Tour.
During that time, Brittany, a mother of two with a third on the way, posted pictures from her trip to Europe on Instagram. Among them were two images of Taylor, 34, from the two couples’ double date night.
“London & Amsterdam, a time was had🤍,” she wrote in a July 15 Instagram post.
Since then, Taylor has wrapped up the European leg of the Eras Tour, and won’t be taking the stage again until October, when she is scheduled to make a stop in Miami, Fla.
In the meantime, we expect to see a lot of Taylor—and Brittany—in the crowd supporting their beaus during the upcoming NFL season!
