Taylor Swift returns to stage in London after Vienna concert plot

Taylor Swift Cancels ‘Eras Tour’ Shows In Vienna After Planned Terrorist Attack

After discovering that the Eras Tour was the subject of a terrorist plot, Taylor Swift has canceled her gigs in Vienna, Austria.

Swift was scheduled to play three days a week at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion.

“Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Vienna shows cancelled due to government officials confirmation of planned terrorist attack,” read the statement from Barracuda Music.

The statement continued, “With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernest Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”

Barracuda Music assured fans, “All tickets will be automatically refunded within the next 10 business days.”

According to Franz Ruf, the Ministry of the Interior’s director-general for public safety, a 19-year-old was taken into custody on Wednesday morning, and another was taken into custody in the afternoon, as reported by ABC News.

One of the suspects reportedly swore loyalty to ISIS, according to an NBC News report. Authorities claim that both men were indoctrinated online. It has been revealed that the suspects intended to carry out assaults in Vienna, including Swift’s concert.

At first, officials had stated that Swift’s performances would go on, citing the fact that “the concrete danger has been minimized.” More security will be implemented, according to the authorities, to guarantee everyone’s safety at the stadium.

On August 15, Swift is scheduled to perform five additional nights at London’s Wembley Stadium. On October 18, the singer will make her comeback to the United States. She will perform three nights in a row at Miami, Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium.
