Taylor Swift Changes Kim Kardashian Song Title to Diss Kanye West

One diss track evidently wasn’t enough, so Taylor released a single of her mash-up of “thanK you aIMee” and “Mean” during her London gig on Thursday as part of her Eras Tour. In case you were unaware, the initial shade of “thanK you aIMee” is represented by the capitalizations “KIM.” This gave many fans the impression that Kim Kardashian was being mentioned in the song, which is about overcoming a bully.

Swift reminds us of two people who would be scared of little ol’ her: Kim Kardashian and Ye (a.k.a. Kanye West), and we are getting closer to seeing her in full retribution mode. She posted a mash-up of “thanK you aIMee” and “Mean” from London’s Eras Tour on Thursday; the spelling of the first song suggests it may be about Kardashian.

Swift, however, rewrote the song’s lyrics to spell out “Ye” on the webstore by stylizing it as “thank You aimEe.” When streaming, the music retains its original title. This comes after Swift dethroned Ye with Tortured Poets Department from the rankings, marking the first time in his 11 album releases that it didn’t open at number one.

Since it all started at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, the drama surrounding Taylor, Kanye, and Kim has been on an extreme rollercoaster. That evening, Kanye famously cut off Taylor’s acceptance speech to say that Beyoncé should have won the prize instead of Taylor.

Ten years of increasing hostilities ensued, which included Kanye’s contentious remarks about Taylor in his song “Famous” and Kim’s involvement after she disclosed a conversation between the two.
