Taylor Swift gives Travis Kelce one final shoutout at last Eras Tour show

“It was the end of an era, but the start of an age.”

With 149 performances on five continents, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has dominated the world for almost two years. Additionally, the singer’s last performance of the tour took place in Vancouver on Sunday night.

She couldn’t leave the stage, though, without mentioning Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, one last time.

Swift performed one of her most well-known lyric modifications when performing “Karma” from her album Midnights.

As an alternative to “Karma is the guy on the screen,” she sang “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.”

It was the ideal approach to wrap up the performance.

Kelce was unable to travel and attend the performance since he and the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium that same evening.

But in the sweetest way possible, she made sure to let him know that he was on her mind.

The first instance of the lyric alteration occurred in November, when the Chiefs tight end met up with the singer on her tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during the bye week. Swift added something special for Kelce, who was in the crowd, knowing that he was there.

An extremely significant turning point in the couple’s relationship will always remain the Eras Tour.

Following Kelce’s attendance at one of her Arrowhead gigs, they began dating. The tight end with the Chiefs tried to offer the singer a friendship bracelet that had his number on it. But he was not successful. He also didn’t hesitate to discuss it on his podcast, New Heights.

ā€œI was disappointed that she doesnā€™t talk before or after the shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,ā€ Kelce said then. ā€œSo, I was a little butthurt I didnā€™t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.ā€

However, it was evident that the two were able to connect at some point, and stories began to circulate that they were spending time together. And at that Chiefs-Bears game, everything was verified.

Swift has now been to eighteen Chiefs games, including last year’s Super Bowl victory. Additionally, Kelce has attended 14 Eras Tour performances.

It’s amazing to watch how the two always turn up to help one another.
