Taylor Swift continues to be a quietly supportive girlfriend and a total Travis Kelce fangirl—whether he’s on or off the pitch. The pop star has made a habit out of showing her support of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end with small, subtle gesture in recent months.
She has cheered him on from the VIP box at six of his games this season. Fans have spotted Swift copying Kelce’s dance moves during her Eras Tour shows. Back in October, she also threw Kelce’s signature celebratory pose into her Eras Tour routine in honor of his first touchdown of the season. That month, she also reportedly threw him a super secret birthday party.
Swift’s latest subtle gesture is yet another example of her unwavering support of her boyfriend.
Eagle-eyed Swifties noticed that the pop star made a rare social media move yesterday when she liked a Kansas City Chiefs Instagram post that honors Kelce, who is up for NFL’s Man of the Year.
The post features a video showing Kelce’s triumphs on the pitch along with his philanthropic work outside of football.
Home video clips show a young Kelce growing up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Kelce describes his childhood home in the video as “such a melting pot of social class and race and religion.” He added, “I was able to relate to all those kids growing up and really appreciate everyone for who they were.”
Kelce began the Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation in 2015 to “make sure that the city felt as much love from me as I do on Sundays.”
The foundation is designed to empower “disadvantaged youth to achieve success by providing resources and support to their communities.”
Swift’s subtly supportive gesture comes after numerous reports that the couple are going as strong as ever. “Things with Travis are serious. He makes her very happy. They are great together,” a source told People yesterday.
“Travis is a great guy. He’s a very real person, kind, and a gentleman. It’s obvious that he loves Taylor.” The pair reportedly spent their first Thanksgiving together and are planning to spend a quiet Christmas together, too.
It seems that Swift, who won her own Person of the Year award last year, courtesy of Time, has already decided who she’ll be voting for for the NFL Man of the Year Awards. Hint: it looks like it will be, as Swift might put it, “the guy on the Chiefs.”
