Taylor Swift Has a Preppy Moment in London

Taylor Swift Throws a Party in London For Her Eras Tour Staff

For the first time since her concerts in Vienna were postponed due to terrorist threats last week, Taylor Swift was spotted out and about. The 34-year-old “Fortnight” singer hosted a wrap party in London on Monday night in an attempt to uplift the morale of the Eras Tour crew.

According to photos acquired by Deuxmoi, Swift was seen exiting the upscale members-only club Annabel’s wearing something from Vivienne Westwood’s latest Autumn-Winter 2024/25 collection. The pop artist wore a cropped blazer with three-quarter sleeves and a double-breasted button fastening to go with her vibrant checkered skirt.

She accessorized the ensemble with a tiny brown purse, platform green Mary Janes with white socks, and a white Wizard Frill shirt by the same brand. The 14-time Grammy winner wore her hair down and went with her go-to red lip and smokey brown eye. Despite the festivities, the “All Too Well” singer appeared downcast. This outing is her first public appearance since she postponed her performances in Austria last week. Many of the singer’s fans are torn because she hasn’t addressed the problem yet.

Many admirers expressed their unhappiness with Deuxmoi’s “silence” in the comment section on Tuesday, but some followers backed her, saying that “she is likely following government officials and security administration’s specific instructions.” Authorities in Austria reported on Wednesday that multiple teens had been taken into custody in relation to a terrorist plot.

According to Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, chief of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, the three adolescent guys were planning to carry out an attack in the vicinity of the stadium, murdering as many people as possible. The lads had sworn allegiance to ISIS. According to reports, the suspects, whose ages varied from 15 to 19, intended to carry out the aborted attack using knives and homemade explosives.

Swift’s three sold-out performances at Ernst Happel Stadium were consequently postponed. Heartbroken fans gathered on the streets to sing her hits and exchange friendship bracelets, an Eras Tour custom, despite the threat. On Thursday, August 15, Swift will begin her five nights of sold-out performances at Wembley Stadium, capping off the European portion of her global tour.

Following the terrifying incident, the London police issued a statement about additional security and advised unticketed spectators to stay away from the stadium. Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, told Sky News that his city has “a huge amount of experience in policing these events,” particularly in the wake of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, in which a suicide bomber targeted an Ariana Grande concert and left over 20 people dead.

After the terrible incident at the Manchester Arena, he continued, “We’re never complacent. Many lessons were learned.” “..We’re going to keep going, collaborating closely with the police to make sure the Taylor Swift concerts can happen in London without incident.
