When Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce first learned that there was a sequel to the hit sports-comedy film Happy Gilmore in the works, he publicly begged filmmaker Adam Sandler to give him a role in the movie.
Well, Sandler has clearly heard the message because not only has the man who plays the eponymous character publicly said that Kelce is in the film, he even agreed to be on Kelce’s podcast.
Uh oh…Happy learned how to podcast

On Tuesday, Kelce and his brother Jason announced that Sandler will be a guest on the season premiere of their New Heights podcast. That announcement included clips from many moments where Kelce professed his love for Sandler’s films and ended with Kelce wearing a “Happy Gilmore 2” hat when Sandler is introduced to the camera.
Fans are clearly pumped. New Heights has grown very big in a fairly short period of time and plenty of fans of both Sandler and the Kelces are interested in seeing what Sandler is going to do with Kelce in his upcoming film.
“LFG!! New season. This one is going to be the best one yet,” one user replied. “Love to see it,” wrote another. “There’s something about that new heights manifestation omg,” a third wrote.
Happy Gilmore was a roaring success when it was released in 1996 and remains one of the most iconic sports films of all-time. Development on a sequel has been quiet but apparently going on without most of us even knowing. It will be cool to see a sequel finally hit Netflix someday soon.
