Rumors of a “breakup contract” between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been swirling around the internet, but Kelce’s camp has reportedly shut them down. Since going public with their relationship in September 2023, Kelce and Swift have arguably become the most talked-about couple in pop culture.
It all started when Kelce revealed on his New Heights podcast that he tried to pass his number to Swift during her Eras Tour.
Now, reports have emerged about a supposed plan for a public breakup, with paperwork claiming that the two would announce their split on September 28, 2024. The rumor took off after a since deleted Reddit post surfaced, allegedly tying Kelce’s PR firm, Full Scope, to the well-thought-out plan.
However, Kelce’s team quickly stepped in to deny the story.
A spokesperson from Full Scope called the assertions “entirely false and fabricated,” stating that no such documents were created or authorized by the agency. They’ve even taken legal steps to address the situation and forged documents if they can track down the source of the rumors.
For now, fans of the couple power couple can relax-there’s no breakup contract in place, according to his representation, and Kelce and Swift appear to be going strong nearly a year into their relationship.
