As they continue to find new ways to steal win from the jaws of defeat, the Kansas City Chiefs improved to a brilliant 11-1 record at the end of Week 13.
The Chiefs were fortunate to recover a Raiders fumble on a mishandled snap in their 19–17 victory over the Raiders. Prior to that, a field goal against the Denver Broncos was miraculously blocked.
A few superstitious fans think Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, is somehow responsible for the Chiefs’ weekly inevitability, which has led to a viral “Tayvoodoo” hypothesis on social media.
“there’s some unknown like….”
*laughs*
“here you go with this fucking tayvoodoo” lmao pic.twitter.com/5yAdDeGjP5— veronica⸆⸉ | fan acc. (@thisisvertrying) December 4, 2024
Travis and Jason Kelce had a humorous back-and-forth in their most recent episode of New Heights, and they are well aware of the “Tayvoodoo” claims.
“I kind of feel like you guys are the angels in the outfield,” Jason said, referencing the iconic sports movie. “There’s some unknown like—”
Jason started laughing, to which Travis said, “Here you go with this f—ing Tayvoodoo s— again.”
Fans should not forget that the night before Kelce scored his first goal of the season, Swift made a touchdown motion at one of her Eras Tour performances. Whatever you want to call it—luck, Tayvoodoo, manifestation—the Chiefs continue to win.
