Despite his intense romantic feelings for Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce will not pop the question until he has a “ironclad prenup” in place.
The NFL player, 34, and the worldwide music sensation, 34, are reportedly deep in negotiations regarding the specifics of a prenuptial agreement, though nothing has been finalized as of yet, according to a recent Life & Style report.
An insider told the outlet, “There’s just no way Taylor would walk down the aisle without a prenup.”
The insider clarified that although the power couple is in agreement about safeguarding their financial prospects, the process has been slowed down by their busy schedules and the difficulties associated with their large fortune.
“This is a lot further along than either Taylor or Travis would care to admit, since they’ve considered themselves unofficially engaged for a while and are both 100 percent committed to spending the rest of their lives together and starting a family,” the insider shared.
Their courtship began to take off in September of last year, and soon after, there were rumors of an upcoming engagement.
In December, Page Six said that the Super Bowl champion asked Swift’s father, Scott Swift, for permission to pop the question, and he received it heartily.
The site repeated its word that an engagement is “happening soon” just this month.
