The 2024 NFL season kicks off with a primetime showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.

The highly-anticipated game is rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game, which the Chiefs won on their way to becoming back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

Fans are hoping Taylor Swift, who attended 13 Chiefs games last season, will be at Arrowhead Stadium cheering on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, on September 5. Leading up to the home opener, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes opened up about how big of a fan Swift has become since she started dating Kelce.

“She’s really interested in football, she asks a lot of great questions,” Mahomes told NBC’s Chris Simms last week. “She’s already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in.”

During an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” on September 3, Kelce confirmed that the 14-time Grammy winner was scheming up plays.

The 34-year-old All-Pro also made a promise to Swift should one of those plays make it onto the field. “She is a little biased and just creates plays for me,” Kelce told Eisen. While he admitted that Swift’s plays have not made it to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s desk, “If they ever do (appear in a game), I’ll make sure everyone know they were her creation.”

Kelce also revealed that he wasn’t surprised to see the “Blank Space” singer drawing up plays. “She is so detailed that I think she was just curious about the profession,” he explained.

“She didn’t know much about the rules and everything and I think what makes her so good in her profession is that she is so detailed in every aspect of it from the words to the music to even the releases and the music videos.”

With Swift’s “Eras” concert tour on break until October 18, there’s a very strong chance viewers see the pop star back in a suite alongside Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, cheering for No. 87 on Thursday Night Football.
