When Jason Kelce made his “Monday Night Countdown” debut, his brother Travis was making fun of him for wearing a shirt that was too small. Presenting the 36-year-old former Philadelphia Eagles player, ESPN host Scott Van Pelt stated that the retired player was wearing a white button-up shirt he bought “at the mall today” since he had forgotten his travel luggage.
Jason said, trying to hide his chest that was showing through the dress shirt, “It fits my belly now that I’ve lost a little bit of weight but my tits are still struggling.” Travis, 34, found pleasure in his brother’s accident and commented, “Surprised he even bought a new one, and didn’t just go shirtless,” on the ESPN video on Instagram.
The tight end appeared to make reference to the time that Jason tore off his T-shirt in celebration of Travis’ touchdown during the Kansas City Chiefs’ January game against the Buffalo Bills.
Taylor Swift, Travis’ girlfriend, was taken aback by the historic scene as Jason leaped from their VIP suite into the Highmark Stadium stands. The singer of the song “Lover” supported Jason, but his wife Kylie Kelce tried to control the conversation by yelling at the former NFL player to “get [his] ass back in here.”
After the game, Travis found out about his brother’s antics, and he told Westwood One Sports that it didn’t “surprise [him] one bit.” “I adore that man. And we constantly cheer each other on when we’re not playing together on the pitch,” he said. Jason went to his younger brother’s opening game of the 2022–2023 season at that time, following the Eagles’ playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Together with Swift and her A-list entourage, Jason cheered on Travis at the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas, when the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers. The father of three declared in March that he will be leaving the NFL after 13 seasons.
