Travis Kelce, who left girlfriend Taylor Swift and her A-List friends behind at a birthday celebration for scandalized Blake Lively, made an early morning sprint on a private plane to make sure he was back in Kansas City to accept Sportsperson of the Year, DailyMail.com can reveal.
The NFL great traveled from the pop sensation’s $17 million Rhode Island estate to a nearby airfield two days after his initial arrival as part of the power couple’s end-of-summer trip.
Pictures that DailyMail.com exclusively obtained show Travis getting on the aircraft, shaking hands with airport employees, and then being followed by security as he packs his weekend bag.
With cars obstructing her view of the plane, the actress, dressed in a white baseball cap and sweater, tried to blend in. She then left the “Fortnight” singer and her pals alone as she began the two-hour journey back to Kansas City.
A few hours before his scheduled appearance at the Kansas City Sports Awards, at midnight, he ascended the steps to the Dassault Falcon airplane, the same model as his girlfriends.
Despite Swift’s two-month tour break, Travis is nominated for the Polsinelli Sportsman of the Year award and may end up accepting the honor on his own. With the early morning trip, the tight end appears to be following the counsel of his jet-setting supermodel girlfriend, Taylor, who is renowned for advising him that “jet lag is a choice” during their second Super Bowl victory in Las Vegas.
In images first obtained by DailyMail.com, Travis and Taylor appeared to be infatuated as they had some quality time together following the singer’s Tuesday completion of the European leg of her Era’s Tour.
After traveling back to the US on Wednesday, she was reunited with her NFL partner and her friends from Hollywood on Friday. Among the guests were Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, and their kids, as well as Rob Mcelhenney, co-owner of Wrexham.
While Jason continues to enjoy his first offseason following retirement, Kylie and he joined the all-star Chiefs lineup with their kids, making for a healthy family outing for the couple.
A few hours before Travis, at approximately 5 p.m., Jason and Kylie left Rhode Island for their home in Delaware. Jason will begin his new TV role with Amazon Prime next month.
With three straight losses in the preseason, quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs, along with his wife Brittany and their two kids, were also present to enjoy the sunshine before the season began.
Mahomes skipped much of Blake Lively’s birthday party on Sunday and instead returned early to his opulent compound near Kelce’s Kansas City home.
On Wednesday, Kelce and Mahomes are anticipated to return to the training facilities at Arrowhead Stadium; however, it remains uncertain whether the tight end will rejoin his girlfriend for the Labor Day weekend.
