Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift have been together for more than a year, and seemingly every aspect of their high-profile relationship ends up making the front-page news.
There’s a high demand to know what’s going on in the personal life of the seven-time All-Pro and 14-time Grammy winner, which could turn into quite a lucrative venture for the couple in the near future.
According to a report from the Sun, Kelce and Swift’s relationship may be getting turned into a $7.5 million Broadway show with plans to tour worldwide if Kelce and Swift greenlight the project. “According to a well-placed insider, the Canadian and American writing duo have presented their plan to Taylor and Travis,” the Sun reported.
“The couple have yet to answer, but the writing team is hopeful the show could start next summer. “The 75-minute show, claims the source, is about the duo’s relationship.
It will also include how they met, and their life as one of the most famous power couples in the world.” Kelce specifically made an impression on the writers, who reportedly loves the 35-year-old’s charisma and his backstory as a two-star college recruit who worked his way to Hall of Fame-worthy NFL star.
“They see him as the guy next door,” the Sun’s source continued. “Not a fashion model or a beautiful actor, but a hard-working athlete who has fought to the top.” It’s no surprise Kelce impressed the playwrights.
He recently stepped out into the acting field with his hosting duties on “Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?” and a small role in FX’s “Grotesquerie,” not to mention his “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason, is among the top podcasts in the U.S.
If the play gets the go-ahead from Kelce and Swift, the tentative plan is to start the shows stateside and eventually expand to performing overseas.
“If it works in New York, the plan is to take the show to London, Paris, Tokyo and beyond,” the source stated.
