Fans initially thought it was a prank
However, it’s not a hoax or an online legend—a college football player is aspiring to be the next big thing in the NFL by channeling his inner Patrick Mahomes.
Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola has undoubtedly taken center stage. An incredibly striking likeness to Mahomes may be seen in a viral video. In addition to having the identical hairdo and wearing the number 15, Raiola also imitates many of Mahomes’ go-to pre-game motions and even strikes seemingly practiced Instagram poses.
Raiola and Mahomes’ similarities
Their physical similarities are not the only ones. Raiola comes from a very similar family background as well. Similar like Mahomes’ father, Dylan’s father, Dominic, played professional football for the Detroit Lions for 14 years, as reported by GQ.
Does Mahomes know who his twin is, then? Yes, and he’s fully committed to it. Raiola is known to Patrick, who appears to be in favor of his ascent.

Raiola, who was born in 2005, most certainly grew up looking up to Mahomes as an idol and was motivated to follow in his footsteps. Being likened to one of the NFL’s best players is not only flattering, but it also suggests that Raiola may be about to leave his own legacy in football.
Despite missing bowl games since 2016, Nebraska has struggled recently. However, things may improve now that Raiola, the “mini Mahomes,” is in charge. With 238 yards and two touchdowns in his debut, the rookie made an impression. Therefore, if he keeps up his fantastic work, Mahomes might even need to show up to verify that he is indeed his clone.
