“This week, perhaps try not to say t-ts?” The cutest pre-game motivational speech in NFL history may have come from Kylie Kelce’s lighthearted poke at her husband Jason Kelce. His better half is making sure the former center for the Philadelphia Eagles doesn’t make the same mistakes when he returns to Lincoln Financial Field, this time in the commentary booth.
On September 14, 2024, Kylie posted a touching family portrait from the Eagles’ practice field on Instagram. Her caption was written like a stand-up comedy routine wrapped around a love letter: Training camp looked a little different this year. Watching you at the Linc on Monday is going to be a little different too. Just know that the girls and I are loving cheering you on in this new chapter!… Maybe try not to say tits this week?

The Kelce family’s journey from the field to the booth has been nothing short of exhilarating. Jason laid up his cleats in March after 13 seasons as the Eagles’ reliable center, only to exchange them for a microphone for ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast. Fans are both happy and melancholy about this transition, wondering if Jason’s on-air presence will match his flamboyant antics on the field.
For Jason, the game against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night is more important than any other. It’s sort of like coming home, but with a twist. Rather than hunching over the ball and passing it to Jalen Hurts, he will be in the Xfinity Live! parking lot next door, dissecting plays and probably imparting some pearls of of Kelce wisdom.
The atmosphere at the Linc promises to be electric. As Jason himself told SportsRadio 94 WIP, “It has the potential to really be very raucous. Nick Foles is coming back. I think Fletch (Fletcher Cox) might be coming back. Philadelphia fans are gonna be really fired up.” With the Eagles honoring Super Bowl hero Nick Foles at halftime, it’s shaping up to be a night where past and present collide in the most Philadelphia way possible.
Fans adore Jason despite the fact that his move from player to analyst has not been easy. On September 9, he made his ESPN debut. It was a lesson in pandemonium a la Kelce, replete with a wardrobe malfunction that left the audience in stitches. Even his brother Travis and pop sensation Taylor Swift couldn’t contain their laughter. “Me and Taylor were watching that, absolutely dying laughing at it,” Travis shared on their “New Heights” podcast. “It was the perfect thing to open everybody up to what they were gonna experience for the next 18 weeks [of the season].”
However, don’t be duped by the theatrics. Jason demonstrated that he wasn’t there to make jokes when it came time for analysis. His analysis of the 49ers’ victory over the Jets demonstrated that he has the skills to match his charm. Fans aren’t just watching football on Monday night as they get ready for the game; they’re also watching the Jason Kelce show. And if Kylie’s recent Instagram picture is any guide, it’s going to be a touchdown of a performance, wardrobe malfunctions and all.
